It’s been a spectacular summer and fall of 2016 at Sterling West! We had the opportunity to travel across Nebraska providing parks and playgrounds with new equipment and surfacing. We were also very excited to travel to San Francisco, California, in May for an outdoor fitness equipment project as well!
Our summer/fall project list was extensive, but here’s a few highlights we wanted to share with you.
Installed new Norwell outdoor fitness equipment on the Crystal cruise ship “Serenity” while it was docked at California. Their passengers are now enjoying these fabulous new amenities on this exquisite ship! More to come on this project, including a video of the install and finished product. Installed new playground equipment at Creek Valley Middle School in Lodgepole, NE. The students did the fundraising and got to choose their own playground equipment and colors. They chose climbers and an awesome nest swing.
Installed new playground equipment at Northfield Elementary School in Gering, NE. We sent an installation overseer out to this project and it worked like clockwork with the volunteers from Gering. They were a great bunch of hard workers!
Installed new playground equipment at a preschool in Broken Bow, NE. This includes an awesome shade structure and poured-in-place surfacing, and the little kids are loving it!
Installed new rubber mulch surfacing on the playgrounds at the Little Paws preschool in St. Paul, the preschool in Loup City, and at Broken Bow’s infant/toddler center. They are enjoying less scraped knees and more smiles! This safety feature was purchased and installed with the assistance of a DEQ grant, available from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality. Check out their eligibility guidelines here.
Installed new “Buddy Benches” at the prescho and elementary school in Aurora, NE. The preschool’s Buddy Bench will brighten your day with its smiley faces imprinted on it. Paw prints are imprinted on the two new Buddy Benches at the elementary school, and they also received a new triple toss. These kids were excited to get back to school!
Installed new playground equipment and tile surfacing at the Dudley Elementary School in Gothenburg, NE. We had fun working here in our own backyard! We love our little community and were thrilled to help make it a more exciting and safer place for families. We also donated a Buddy Bench as a gathering place for the little kiddos.
Installed new playground equipment at Shelton Elementary School, Elwood Elementary School, Pleasanton Elementary School, and many more locations.
